We at HumanImage create exactly-rendered, full-color, life-size avatars of each patient’s skin surface and lesions. These private, secure, and highly standardized dermatologic maps permit comparisons over time to find even the most minute skin changes for earliest skin cancer detection.

HumanImage has developed the world’s first circumferential photographic technology analogous to CT Scans and MRI, creating high resolution 3D color photographs. Early detection and treatment of skin cancers is critical to save lives and minimize disfigurement. An estimated 40 million dermatologic skin scans will be needed each year in the US alone by current Federal and insurance industry guidelines, but no other scan system exists. HumanImage needs financial support to build and test the completely non-invasive prototype device.

While developing the 3D scanning techniques for AnthroCam, the HumanImage team realized that our preliminary protocols produced HD scans that could be used to accurately display bodily disfigurements during legal proceedings for personal injury cases.
