About Us
HumanImage Inc is a Chicago-based company specializing in novel digital imaging strategies to document and track human anatomy over time. Solidly rooted in decades of research regarding standardized anatomic imaging, HumanImage now has a unique opportunity to disrupt long-stagnant methods for skin lesion tracking, skin cancer detection and treatment.
Our company has submitted a formal patent application for AnthroCam. Our 3-dimensional imaging device creates high-resolution skin surface avatars to establish a baseline of skin features. Subsequent scans and intelligent software then identify even the most subtle changes in the skin surface for the earliest possible cancer detection, that expedites intervention and maximizes cure rates.
The AnthroCam device and image-processing software make it possible to perform a baseline skin scan and obtain subsequent 3D scans at specific time intervals. The latest scan can then be digitally compared to the baseline scan to quickly and accurately identify all skin surface changes that occurred during the interscan interval. New lesions are quickly found and minute changes of 0.1 mm can be identified for both size or projection. Changes in color, edge characteristics, and subtle white halos can all be captured and identified using the AnthroCam system. Importantly, subtle localized changes in coloration of tattoos can also be visualized easily, making tumor identification possible beneath tattoos.
Our Founder
Dr. David Teplica is a widely recognized Plastic and Reconstructive surgeon with extensive experience in medical imaging, anatomic investigation, and skin cancer reconstruction. He has pioneered highly standardized imaging strategies to capture human surface anatomy for digital analysis. His initiatives have led to major anatomic discoveries that improve the understanding of several disease entities and patient care. Over 30 years, Teplica methodically built imaging protocols that culminated in US Patent submission for AnthroCam, a scanning device that produces exact life-sized replicas of a patient’s shape, volume, and skin surface.
AnthroCam produces imagery so standardized that subtle changes can be identified in all skin surface features.
Even subtle color shifts can be seen within tattoos, making early cancer detection possible in these hard-to-examine zones.
No other device on the market has this capacity.
